Apple Data Recovery
iPhone Data Recovery
Your iPhone holds conversations that exist nowhere else, photos from your last trip, work notes, years of contacts. When it really breaks — not a cracked screen, but a logic board fault or liquid damage — getting that data back becomes a race against time. We know how that feels, and we know what to do.
Which devices do we cover?
iPhone X and later (mainly from iPhone X onwards), where the memory is soldered to the logic board.

Why recovering data from a modern iPhone is genuinely hard
The iPhone is the most complex device of all for data recovery, and it is important to explain why. Not to put you off, but so you understand what is at stake and can make informed decisions.
Since the iPhone X, the storage memory has been built directly into the logic board as a soldered NAND chip. It cannot be removed. It cannot be connected to another machine to read its contents directly. Any attempt to access it has to go through the phone’s own board.
On top of that comes iOS native encryption, one of the strongest in the industry. Data stored on the iPhone is encrypted at hardware level with a key tied to the device’s Secure Enclave chip. To decrypt it, the chip has to be working and, in most cases, the user’s passcode is also required. If the board is damaged and the Secure Enclave does not respond, access to the data may be technically impossible, whatever any laboratory does.
We say this because we believe you deserve to know before you send the device.
Cases we see regularly
Liquid damage. The iPhone fell into water, the toilet, the pool. It is the most common case. If the phone switched itself off and you did not turn it on after contact with the liquid, the diagnostic prospects are better. If you did turn it on — it happens, it is instinctive — tell us anyway. We do not rule the case out from the start.
Completely black screen, no response. The iPhone will not turn on, will not vibrate, does not respond to charging. It may be a fault in a board component (the battery management circuit, the CPU, a regulator) without the memory being affected. The diagnosis determines whether the data is accessible.
A hard knock or fall. The impact damaged the board internally. Sometimes the iPhone shows intermittent signs of life before it stops working altogether. In these cases the condition of the Secure Enclave is the deciding factor.
An iPhone stuck in recovery mode or DFU mode. Something happened during an update or restore and the phone got stuck. Depending on the cause, there may be ways to access the data before going ahead with a restore that would erase it.
What data can be recovered
When access is possible, we work to recover the content stored locally on the iPhone: photos and videos from the library, messages (SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram), contacts, notes, reminders, voice recordings, and files from apps that store data locally. Data that exists only in iCloud — and is not downloaded to the device — is not part of this service: Apple manages that directly from your account.
What we do not do
We do not recover iPhones locked by iCloud (Lost Mode enabled, or an iCloud account linked to the device that you do not know). That lock is independent of the physical condition of the hardware and requires the credentials of the associated Apple Account. We have no way of getting around it, and we do not try.
We do not recover data from iPhones with a broken screen that still turn on and work normally. If the phone works but you cannot see the screen, that is a hardware repair, not data recovery. iRepairs does that.
We do not promise success rates. Any service that guarantees you a specific percentage before seeing the device is oversimplifying something that is genuinely variable. The real condition of the board and the Secure Enclave is only known at diagnosis.
How we differ from a phone repair shop
Most phone repair shops fix screens, batteries and connectors. When the problem is inside the logic board, their tools are not enough. Recovering data from a damaged iPhone requires electronic diagnostic equipment, precision microsoldering and specific knowledge of iOS architecture at chip level. It is laboratory work, not counter work.
When to contact us
Immediately, if the iPhone has got wet. Every hour with moisture inside the device can move corrosion forward on the board. If you have no reliable way to dry it, do not touch it any more and send it to us.
For any other kind of fault, tell us the model, the exact symptom and whether the iPhone had an active backup (even a partial one). With that information we give you an honest assessment before you commit to anything.
The process
How it works
Board diagnosis
We open the device carefully and analyse the logic board with microsoldering and electronic diagnostic equipment. We identify whether the fault is recoverable and which technique is the most suitable.
Data extraction analysis
We assess which method is least invasive for board-level recovery: repairing your own board or carrying out a board transplant.
iOS encryption assessment
iOS native encryption adds complexity. Success depends on the condition of the board, the model and the type of damage — we explain it to you before you decide whether to go ahead.
Data delivery
Recovered data is delivered on an external drive or by secure transfer. If nothing is recovered, you only pay shipping (approx. €30).

Questions about this service
It depends on the type of damage. If the system can boot, iOS encryption requires authentication to access the data. If the Face ID sensor or the screen is damaged but the board works, we explore alternatives. It is one of the most complex cases — we explain it honestly at diagnosis.
Mainly iPhone X and later, where the memory is soldered. For earlier models the process is different and in some cases simpler. Tell us your exact model and we will confirm.
Yes, as long as the device has not been handled aggressively. The time since the damage is not usually the deciding factor — what matters is the current condition of the board.
It depends on how long it was in contact with the liquid and whether it was switched on after the damage. Wet iPhones that switched themselves off have better prospects. If you turned the iPhone on after it got wet, the odds go down, but there may still be options.
